Get to Know the NorthBridge Team:

Group Manager of Business Services, Gerry Fung

 

Gerry Fung has been an integral part of the NorthBridge team for almost twelve years since beginning with the company as an Account Manager in 2003. As Group Manager of Business Services, Gerry oversees the delivery of NorthBridge’s grant-writing services and manages our sales and marketing departments. He is also the architect of our business development initiatives and the SR&ED practice leader in the information and communications technology sector. Among the many roles he plays for us at NorthBridge, Gerry’s favourite is ensuring client satisfaction throughout the engagement process.

Gerry holds a BScE in Computer/Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University and an MASc in Biomedical and Computer/Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario. He completed his MBA at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2010 and is currently a CPA, CMA candidate. Previously, he worked for the National Research Council of Canada and Nortel Networks.

Gerry grew up in Ottawa and currently resides in Kitchener, Ontario. An avid athlete and former marathoner, Gerry plays in recreational Ultimate Frisbee leagues, plays regular badminton, squash, and tennis matches, and also enjoys baseball and swimming. He is a frequent traveller, having visited six of seven continents, and holds his Grade 8 piano certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music. He learned how to play the ancient Chinese board game Go as a child, and he previously represented Canada in the World Youth Go tournament.
