What is the SR&ED incentive program?

   Revenue Canada offers tax credit incentives and refunds for companies that perform Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED). Eligible activities are those which utilize experimental development to resolve technical issues. They include the development of new products, as well as the improvement of existing products, processes, or services.

   The goal of the SR&ED program is to encourage experimentation and technological advancements within Canadian companies for the benefit of our economy.  In many cases, companies will automatically receive additional Ontario Innovation Tax Credit (OITC) funding for approved SR&ED expenses!

   If your company undertook development of new or improved products within the past 18 months, you could qualify for over 40% of your incurred costs. Tax credits of over $150,000 are frequent for average clients while large corporate clients enjoy returns in the millions!
