After months of negotiations, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) has announced their partnership with FedNor, which will deliver over $1 million in funding to manufacturers in Northern Ontario. The funding will be administered by CME as part of FedNor’s Targeted Manufacturing Initiative for Northern Ontario (TMINO) and will be allocated to Canadian manufacturers or exporters who wish to undertake projects to improve their productivity and competitiveness. Eligible businesses will receive up to $15,000 to assess their operations in a wide variety of areas, including productivity, quality, lean manufacturing, information systems, human resources, management systems and market analysis.
As another means of achieving business growth in Northern Ontario, CME also plans to host a series of webinars and workshops which will help businesses identify areas of potential manufacturing growth.
