Fund Description
The Conservation Fund provides financial support to new and innovative electricity conservation initiatives designed to enable Ontario’s residents, businesses and institutions to cost-effectively reduce their demand for electricity.
Funding Details
The Conservation Fund will consider providing support up to a specified maximum percentage of project costs. Depending on project category, the maximum OPA support ranges from $100,000 to $1,000,000 or 50% to 100% of project costs.
Eligible Expenditures
Eligible project costs are those directly related to the design, development, demonstration, installation, implementation, testing, measurement and performance verification of the project.
Eligibility Requirements
The Conservation Fund welcomes applications from non-profit and for-profit incorporated entities, including, but not limited to, local distribution companies (LDCs), technology companies, consulting firms, industry associations, educational institutions, and public sector organizations.
