Back in March 2015, Kyle Alkema joined the technical writing team at NorthBridge. Since then, Kyle has become a major asset to the team as a technical writer, composing technical narratives and organizing supporting documentation for research and development projects for clients in various industries, including welding, metal forming, civil engineering, and food processing. He particularly enjoys helping clients receive the government support that they have worked so hard for. Moreover, Kyle thrives on the challenge that arises from working in such diverse fields, an opportunity that he notices is helping him to continually grow as a writer.

Born and raised in Burlington, ON, Kyle currently resides in Hamilton, ON. He has earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from McMaster University, with a specialization in biotechnology and genetic engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Redeemer University College, where he double majored in English (creative writing) and Philosophy. Prior to joining NorthBridge, Kyle was a writing tutor and student researcher in biology-, biochemistry-, and organic chemistry-based university laboratories, and his love of the great outdoors has helped him fare well in horticulture, landscaping, and urban tree planting. In his spare time, Kyle enjoys philosophy, writing, reading, attending church, playing video games, studying mythology (especially superhero and science fiction myths), spending time outdoors, and playing and watching many sports.
